The Basics.

The colorado river toad is an amphibian.

This amphibian has poisonous glands in its skin, so wash your hands after handling.

This species of toad lives in desert and semi-arid areas.

But the amphibian is also found in arid grassland and woodlands.

This amphibian is semi-aquatic and usually lives near large streams, springs, rain pools, canals, and ditches.

This amphibian’s diet consists of spiders, snails, beetles, grasshoppers, and mice.

But This amphibian can also eat weal worms.
